In excess of 130 stall holders are carefully selected throughout the year to ensure that a balanced, high quality range of products is on offer at the Fair, including locally sourced food and drink, artwork, presents and decorations.
Along with lots of beautiful gift ideas, there will also be a café serving refreshments, lunch and afternoon tea, along with a fully licensed bar.
On the 4th March the Duke of Beaufort’s Hunt donated funds raised from their annual Christmas Fair to both the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Youth Action Wiltshire. Cheques for £5000 each were presented to Ginnie Keen from Youth Action Wiltshire and Hollie Perryman representing Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
To date, the Beaufort Hunt has raised over £20,000 for the Wilshire Air Ambulance.
Hollie Perryman Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator said "We need to raise £4 million a year to keep the air ambulance flying and saving lives. We receive no regular direct Government funding or National Lottery grants, so rely solely on generous donations from the public. Events such as the Beaufort Christmas Fair help to generate vital funds for our lifesaving work and we are very grateful for their continuing support, with the most recent donation of £5,000 from the 2021 event.”
Youth Action Wiltshire is the national award winning ‘Youth Arm’ of Community First supporting local communities in the Swindon and Wiltshire areas.
Ginnie Keen, a Trustee of Youth Action Wiltshire, said “Thank you so much to the generous supporters of the Beaufort Hunt Christmas Fair. This donation is much appreciated and will be put towards assisting with our local initiatives”
Julie Curtis from the Duke of Beaufort’s Hunt and organiser of the Christmas Fair said: “The Beaufort Hunt Christmas Fair is an important annual event in our calendar; not only does it provide a platform for local businesses on the run up to the festive period but it raises valuable funds for specific local charities, something we are immensely proud to achieve”.
The 2021 Beaufort Christmas Fair was a Triumph!
I think these comments from one stall holder summed it up beautifully....
"A hugely enjoyable day, fine weather and finer folk. A very jolly get together after the last horrible couple of years. Thank you so much for organising it all again, I am sure the challenges were greater than normal but you would never have known. It is a fabulous fair with a great atmosphere, I really enjoy doing it. Please pass on thanks to all parking people and committee, also our lovely coffee was most welcome first thing”
Thank you for all the visitors who came, we shall be making generous donations to our charities, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Youth Action Wiltshire.
Thank you most importantly to the Pickford family for hosting the event, Alpha Hire for the marque, WGS for the electrics, Royal Flush for the toilets, Relish for the catering and all my lovely helpers on the door and in the car park.
Lastly I would like to thank my family for all their support together with my amazing “website lady” Roxzanne from AllAbout Sites, this event would not happen with them.
Next years online applications will go live late January in the meantime wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and Merry New Year.
Every year the Beaufort Christmas Fair supports 2 vital charities.
We are thrilled to announce we have donated £5,000 each to Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Youth Action Wiltshire.
We shall be doing a cheque presentation at our meet on Friday 4th March
